CTSA ResourcesAccess Services is Los Angeles County's Consolidated Transportation Services Agency (CTSA). The CTSA is a state mandated facilitator charged with the development and implementation of regional coordination of services and improvement of social service transportation. Social service, in this context, is defined as public or private non-profit organizations, which provide services to seniors, persons with disabilities, the young, and the low-income disadvantaged. The 2000-2002 Specialized Transportation Coordination and Improvement Plan identifies those tasks which the CTSA will seek to improve the coordination and cooperation among local agencies. The CTSA also provides referral services, education and training programs, resource materials, and technical assistance to social service transportation providers. To the benefit of special needs riders in Los Angeles County, the transportation services made possible by public and private non-profit social service transportation providers have been retained over the years. Our mission is to assist those delivering special needs transportation in making the most out of scarce resources and maximizing their service potential through coordination, education, and technical assistance. |
